Terms of Service

These terms describe what you can expect from Microcourse and what we expect from you. Using the service means you agree to them.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

Who Provides Microcourse

Microcourse is provided by VSX Labs ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected]. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your Account

You need an account to generate courses, save slides, and track progress. You must be at least 16 years old to create one. Give us accurate information, keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts other users or the platform at risk.

What It Costs

Microcourse is currently free to use and we take no payments. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will say clearly what is paid before you are asked for anything, and existing free features will not be silently moved behind a paywall without notice.

Acceptable Use

When using Microcourse, please do not:

  • • Generate or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative
  • • Try to generate instructions for causing serious harm to people or systems
  • • Attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to the service
  • • Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy
  • • Resell or redistribute the service itself as your own product

AI-Generated Course Content

Courses and learning plans on Microcourse are generated by an AI model from the topic and instructions you provide. Generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong, and it is not reviewed by a subject-matter expert before you see it.

Treat it as a study aid, not as professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions, and verify anything that matters against a primary source.

You keep whatever rights you have in the prompts you write. As between you and us, you may use the courses generated for you for your own learning, including commercially. We may keep and reuse generated courses to operate and improve the service, including making a generated course available to other users.

Our Content and Software

The Microcourse platform, its design, and its software belong to VSX Labs. These terms do not transfer any of that to you. Third-party material referenced in courses remains the property of its owners.

Availability and Liability

Microcourse is provided as-is. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we plan to shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, and if you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last substantive change. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Microcourse after that means you accept the updated terms.
